I follow suit
nervous about posting poetry I have not honed and honed
and honed - here goes
week 23 - an historical figure
Freud
Freud –
what a boy;
the dark underbelly
felt out
the flinching bulges
pored over
nighttime’s lost romping
not to be ignored
unsettling realms
entrance coaxed
doors open-eased
treasure un corked
explored
the mis-shapen half-thing
delivered raging from under floorboards
light-slapped to life
no longer snoring footbound
splinter-shouldering
scuttling about
but out, dripping with messy stuff
learning to walk
thanks to beardy you
your éclat, your
tenebrous, cigar-chewed
ruminations
